Free Activities For Volunteers Week

23rd May 2022

Volunteers’ Week is a UK wide and annual festival of volunteering which takes place from 1-7 June every year. The Volunteers’ Week campaign is a special week when volunteering involving organisations are encouraged to say a huge thank you to their volunteers.

Here at FRAME, we want to recognise all of those who have continued delivering vital work as volunteers over the past 12 months but also all those who usually volunteer but have not been able to because of the pandemic.

During Volunteers Week will are offering several free activities at Pembrokeshire FRAME. These activities are open to anyone who volunteers in the community.

Activities:

Wednesday 1st June – Furniture Painting 10-2

Wednesday 1st June- Tai Chi 10-2

Wednesday 1st June – Macrame 1-3

Monday 6th June- Macrame 10-12

All activities will need to be booked in advance as we only have limited spaces. Tea/coffee and cake will be provided!

Volunteers are central to the work of countless charities and other organisations. They are a valuable presence in many communities, making a difference in places as diverse as sports clubs, libraries, schools, woodlands and hospitals.

The annual campaign, which was established in 1984, recognises the contribution volunteers make to our communities every day. This year, recognition of our nation’s volunteers is more important than ever.

It is hoped that all individuals, across all sectors of Wales will unite to share messages to thank volunteers and celebrate the power of volunteering to bring communities together and to be there when needed.
